In a former industrial complex in Eindhoven, Dutch designer PIET HEIN EEK‘s new space is a mix of laboratory, workshop (the heart of the company, where 50 people produce PIET HEIN EEK furniture), showroom, shop and restaurant. The designer-artisan who became known to the wider public by creating furniture out of recycled scrap wood, opened in 2010 this new space comprising thousands of square metres and spread over several floors.

Earlier this year, the space featured 25 works by TOM CLAASSEN on display across two gallery floors and in a number of locations in and around the complex. Some are still on view like this surprising sculpture in the office space.
