YANIS CARNAL‘s zine “Empört Euch!” examines the work of STÉPHANE HESSEL, a diplomat, ambassador, concentration camp survivor and former French Resistance fighter who writes the controversial book “Indignez vous!” (Empört Euch! in german).
In Indignez vous!, HESSEL urges French youth and presumably the rest of his readers to recapture the wartime spirit of resistance to the Nazis by rejecting the “Insolent, selfish,” power of money and markets and by defending “the social values of modern democracy.”
This zine of Swiss graphic designer YANIS CARNAL is a pure gem as much for its visual composition as for its intellectual substance!
