VINCENT DELBROUCK is a Belgian artist who was a member of the Belgian Blow-Up collective. He has published in Purple Journal, Pavilion, CODE and View, and his work has been shown worldwide. He received the Memorial Giacomelli Prize 2002 (Italy), the Jean Salgaro Prize at the 14th National Open Photography Prize (Photography Museum in Charleroi, Belgium) and the Vocational Bursary (Belgium) in 2003. He was one of the Discoveries of the Meeting Place in Fotofest Houston 2006.

For his first book “Beyond History (Havana 1998 – 2006)“, VINCENT DELBROUCK deconstructs and reconstructs fragments of his own life (emails, drawings, photos and texts) into “poetic documentaries”.

After that VINCENT made a new “family experience” in Nepal and discovered meditation and Buddhism which completely transformed the way he deals with life and art/documentary practice. He is now working on a new book of texts and contemplative photographs from Nepal and India, focusing on the silence and the colors of a very intimate self-conscious moment and the intense discovery of a new light in Nepal.
