Fumie Sasabuchi

The manipulation of the modern visual world represents, in the 21st Century, an accepted magnitude. However, there are still very clear boundaries with regards to what is allowed to be shown. Japanese artist FUMIE SASABUCHI challenges the current visual world and the concept of beauty by reworking individual pages from international fashion magazines.

Her works are neither pure provocations, nor moral references, she rather comments on how our skin naturally protects our body.
