Nine rad facts about DANIELLE DE PICCIOTTO:

1. She is an American artist living and working in Berlin, Germany
2. She has become one of the most influential and symbolic members of Berlin’s thriving art and club scene since the late 80ies
3. The artist is known to mix the different elements of painting, photography, objects, film and video material to create new ways of expression
4. Together with Dr. Motte she founded the Love Parade
5. and was the first official street wear designer of Berlin influencing the colourful techno fashion of the 90ies
6. To introduce this and other young art forms to the market she founded the gallery “Institut” and presented over 150 artists, writers and musicians while doing own exhibitions on the side
7. she is also filmmaker; in 2009 she was commissioned by the German Foreign Ministry to direct a short animation movie on Club Cultur
8. and musician. She sang with “Space Cowboys” and with the “Ocean Club”
9. In 2008 she produced and creates live visual/acoustic show “Ship Of Fools” together with ALEXANDER HACKE (her husband) with which they tour internationally, inviting musicians from different countries to participate and create cultural interaction
