Six things you need to know about VALÉRIE JOUVE:
- she studied ethnology at the University of Lyon/Bron
- before turning her attention to photography at the end of the 1980s
- she graduated from the National School for Photography in Arles, France, in 1990,
- since then she has built up a unique collection of photographic works on human presence in the city: What interests me above all else is the question of the handling of space…Above all, it’s a matter of understanding how the figure confers presence on its surroundings.
