Another significant exhibition at Kunsthalle Basel for 2012: Morgenlied (Morning Song), an exhibition, by LATIFA ECHAKHCH and DAVID MALJKOVIĆ, named after the title of a poem by JOHANN WOLGANG VON GOETHE from 1773.

LATIFA ECHAKHCH presented a new site-specific work consisting of a monumental painting executed in black ink on the skylight of the exhibition space. Croatian artist DAVID MALJKOVIĆ employed a reduced formal vocabulary of Modernism in a specially built display structure which served as a frame for several works.
