“I speak true things” by MARKO TADIĆ
Croatia. 2009. 5′ 45”

MARKO TADIĆ‘s s animation I speak true things refers to the mapping and search of a metaphorical utopian island, and was part of an exhibition of books, drawings and installed animation at Galerija Miroslav Kraljevic Zagreb in 2009. I speak true things is a constant drawing, an animated chalk composition constantly recomposing itself, and where background/foreground, positive and negative space are continuously conflating and exchanging.

MARKO TADIĆ is an artist from Zagreb, Croatia. He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. He has held solo exhibitions in ISCP (New York),  Linienstrasse113 Gallery (Berlin), Miroslav Kraljević Gallery (Zagreb), VN Gallery (Zagreb), Galženica Gallery, Velika Gorica and Nova Gallery (Zagreb). In 2006 he won the best drawing award at the Zagreb Youth Salon, while in 2008 he was given the first prize at the Radoslav Putar Award.

And good news: his work will be presented during the exhibition “RAL 7021, eine magnifique Reportage!“, a show curated by MARCEL VAN EEDEN at Barbara Seiler Galerie in Zürich until May 28, 2011.
