Everybody knows TAXI DRIVER, the cult film by MARTIN SCORSESE where ROBERT DE NIRO played the part of an insomniac and very disturbed taxi driver, and where JODIE FOSTER was a very young prostitute. Concerning STEVE SCHAPIRO, the photographer hung around on the set capturing the film’s most intense and violent moments from behind the scenes.
Today, TASCHEN releases a rare new look at the set of the iconic film in the form of a 328-pages volume of never-before-seen photographs by STEVE SCHAPIRO. The limited-edition comes in only 1,000 copies, each numbered and signed by SCHAPIRO himself (also available in two Art Editions of 100 copies each, with a signed and numbered original photographic print). Definitively a gem!
