Seven things you need to know about STEFANO CASCIANI:
- He was born in Rome in 1955
- He is designer and artist: he designed and realised objects in limited series of objects which have been presented in numerous exhibitions in art galleries and museums
- He carries out an intense activity in critique and journalism: he was editorial staff of Domus and Ollo and, since 1992, of Abitare
- He is the author of books on design, amongst which: ”This was tomorrow” (1991), ”Design in Italia 1950 – 1990” (1991), ”Atelier Mendini” (with Raffaella Poletti, 1994), ”La fabbrica dell’arte. Design in Italia verso il terzo millennio” (1996).
- He gives advice on image and communication (working for Alchiminia, BTicino, Cleto Munari, Edition Gabi Faeh, Olivari, Zanotta)
- Since 2000 he is vice-director of the Domus magazine
- CASCIANI has receive the Award ”Compasso d’Oro” 2001 for the RAI television programme ”Lesson of Design”
