Since yesterday I eat MIIKKA LOMMI, I breathe MIIKKA LOMMI, I dream MIIKKA LOMMI and during my research about him, I found this video made in collaboration with Finnish artist JENNI HILTUNEN.

The starting point for my video, ”24/7 Shiva” was a desire to describe the complex process of painting. It´s an alternative way to present the artist and also a comment on the narrow minded, conservative artist stereotype. The video consists of performative and narrative scenes which are composed together by the act of painting and the sounds it produces. The video peeps to a genderless world where role-changing characters are playing their parts as artist´s inspiration as well as her canvas. On a structural level, the video akin to a fast-paced music video and also close to my impulsive way of working. – by JENNI HILTUNEN
