Tatiana Bilbao

The Explanada House is located in Lomas de Chapultepec, a green and hilly neighbourhood of Mexico City. TATIANA BILBAO, in collaboration with the mexican group at 103, has designed an architecture whose inner space is a continuation of the garden. The gallery/home-studio for artists is certainly intriguing: on the outside, a clever play of irregular volumes with a decisive, abstract artificiality. On the inside, the very aerial space is waiting to be overlapped by signs and objects of normal or artistic habitation.

With the obsessive use of white mixed into the concrete, the building of TATIANO BILBAO is a large, solid and opaque mirror: it reverberates the sunlight and bleftness of Mexico’s sky.

This house is a pure dream!
