DAVID DIAO‘s exhibition at the Belgian gallery Office Baroque offers a sampling of work he produced since 1990 and which is related to the American Abstract Expressionist painter BARNET NEWMAN (1905-1970).

As its title implies, many of the works in the exhibition take as their subject topics such as the catalogue of NEWMAN’s works, paintings that according to the press release ‘have been excluded from the artist’s narrative for one reason or another, the graphic design of catalogues in which it has been featured, and the artist’s biography’.

Ref: Barnett Newman by DAVID DIAO is on view at Office Baroque through 9 April. I suggest you to read this in-depth post to know more about his work.
