The Centre PasquArt in Biel is currently exhibiting the work of three swedish artists EVA LÖFDAHLNANNA NORDSTRÖM and SOFIA BÄCKLUND. Curated by FELICITY LUNN, the exhibition titled Condition interweaves the diversity of their work in a comprehensive display: while the three artists are presenting their work separately in Parkett 2, they are collectively creating a site-specific installation in the main room of the Centre PasquArt called the Salle Poma (see images above).

For this multipartite ensemble, all three have gathered together a selection of older works as well as works specially produced for the installation. From sculptures to wall pieces and floor works, Condition reveals the artists’ common interest in the act of creation and the resulting sculptural forms of stable structures and fragile gestural constructions.

Probably the best show on view in Switzerland right now and a must-see for anyone interested in minimal sculptures, which can be alternately playful and highly formal, presenting a careful exploration of the relationship between space and object.

Condition is currently on view at Centre PasquArt, Biel (Switzerland) until November 11, 2012
