Objects Rescoped’ questions why things are the way they are. Wandering through a landscape of smaller and larger ‘viewers’, your perspective shifts from detail to overview and back again. Noticing instead of merely looking is the essential theme. The participants, who especially created new work, give their own refreshing view on re-appreciating. They are redefining the meaning of apparently ordinary things; rust turns into silver beauty as soon as you zoom in on it and a geometrical object seems to be able to create eclipses, fog and clouds.

on view at Galerie van de Water until Sunday 30 October, 2011
