May 27, marked the opening reception of the House of Electronic Arts* in Basel, a space dedicated to art that applies, addresses and reflects on new media and technologies. This event was accompanied by opening-celebrations of further institutions and artist’s studios located in the same building.

During the evening, I paid a visit to LEIF BENNETT and DAVID BERWEGER‘s studio, two swiss artists who share – since a few months ago – a common space. I’ve been stunned by the works of DAVID and particularly by his installation in the middle of the atelier: placed on a chair, a soaked sheep jacket was dispensing its liquid degrading a painterly titled floor. Subtle and truly well executed, this work fitted specifically into this clinical room!
