Venezuelian artist ALEJANDRA VILLASMIL questions through her work the notions of desire, beauty, and sexuality. One constant in her work is to explore female representation, gender archetypes, glamour, artifice and physical transfiguration by using the same printed sources that sell these ideas. I really appreciate her work characterised by intuitive gestures and cynical humour.
