Permanent Food

Permanent Food n°11. 2003

Not brand new but terribly good: yesterday I had the chance to find a copy of Permanent Food at the flea market. Never heard before (shame on me!), I done few researchs:

Permanent Food is a magazine made from magazine pages gathered from around the world by hundreds of participants. Neither reference, neither legend, nor mention of responsibility, the visual strengh of the images and the sharp juxtaposition of many different contexts creates an ironic language, often capable of startling the reader: sometimes through the raw nature of the images, sometimes with the dramatic or ironic tension within a sequence.

It is a non-profit magazine, without offices or editorial board, published by l’association des temps liberés and distributed by les presses du réel and Idea Books, conceived and realized by Italian artist MAURIZIO CATTELAN, PAOLA MANFRIN and DOMINIQUE GONZALEZ-FOERSTER since 1995.

Permanent Food project is now extended by CATTELAN‘s new magazine Toilet Paper.

If you are interested, you can read an interview of PAOLA MANFRIN here!
