Dutch artist PEGGY FRANCK builds on a practice based on the act of extending a two-dimensional photograph into space. She does this through a process that begins with the making of ensembles in her studio, using quotidian objects and simple materials like Plexiglas, tape and paper that she subsequently photographs and exhibits as photo images displayed on the gallery wall. Her photographs are juxtaposed and linked with installations which extend this surface into real space. Some photographs show pictorial compositions, while others transform into sculptures.

The arrangements in the photographic images and in the gallery spaces appear as a random mess on the one hand and a source of countless stories on the other.
