Great news! Tomorrow I will spend my day in Vevey (Switzerland) for the opening of FESTIVAL IMAGES…I’m thrilled! Don’t know what I am talking about? The following informations are for you:

The visual arts FESTIVAL IMAGES is the first open-air photography festival of Switzerland. It produces every two years unseen monumental photography exhibitions in the streets of Vevey; it also proposes numerous exhibitions in various locations dedicated to image and introduces the winners of the two competitions it organises: the European First Film Awards and theVevey International Photo Awards.

From September 4th through September 26th, the FESTIVAL IMAGES is entirely free and will produce open-air installations and indoor exhibitions in various locations. No more than 100 contemporary artists will turn the entire city of Vevey into a museum for visual arts.

The festival in few names: SHADI GADHIRIAN, JR (with a new urban project), LI YU & LIU BO, MOIRA RICCI, AKASH, DAVID LYNCH, HANS OP DE BEECK, AUGUSTIN REBETEZ, MATHIEU LAVANCHY…

No worries, for those of you who can’t make it either because you are too far away or you didn’t get a slot, I will share some highlights here on WFW.
