The photographic work of DIANA SCHERER is a way of playing between her dual desire for both space and illusion, an image-within-an-image

Fragments consists of a photo series of composite images. The compositions are made up of real people and cut-out images of their loved ones, such as children or pets. The images show us private moments and personal surroundings, but never really lead to actual intimacy because the element of construction. With her cut-out fragments, DIANA SCHERER is investigating shifts in scale of the models, and the effect of differences in surface texture.
