DAVID IVAR HERMAN DUNE aka YAYA was born in Paris in 1976, in a Jewish-Swedish family.

When he’s not singing (his band Herman Dune), YAYA works in both New York or Paris, for books of drawings, illustrations, music illustrations or art-shows.

Summoning recurrent characters such as aliens, surfers or the blue big foot, his drawings are referencing his songs, everyday-life thoughts or popular culture connected to childhood like Disney’s Pete’s Dragon.
