Destroy/ RANKIN*: DEBBIE HARRY

RANKIN is THE London-based photographer, filmmaker and co-founder (with his business partner JEFFERSON HACK) of the style magazine Dazed and Confused, which has become a focus for innovative photography. He is also the magazine’s in-house photographer, and has become renowned for producing it’s memorable portraits of celebrities from the worlds of pop music, cinema and fashion.

*As part of Youth Music’s 10th Anniversary more than 70 of the world’s biggest musicians and visual artists who have been photographed by RANKIN have created an original piece of artwork based on one of the photographer’s iconic portraits. The Destroy / RANKIN book is on sale via the website, and contains five especially commissioned essays on the relationship between art and music by the destroy artists and key cultural commentators.
